Three-point intrinsic alignments of dark matter haloes in the IllustrisTNG simulation

We use the IllustrisTNG suite of cosmological simulations to measure intrinsic alignment (IA) bispectra dark matter subhalos between redshifts 0 and 1. decompose shear field into E- B-modes find that $B_{\delta\delta\mathrm{E}}$ $B_{\delta\mathrm{EE}}$, overdensity field, $\delta$, E-mode are detected with high significance. also model IA analytically using a method consistent two-point non-linear model. this simulation measurements infer amplitude $A_\mathrm{IA}$ values obtained from power spectra agree well at scales up $k_\mathrm{max}= 2 \, h \mathrm{Mpc}^{-1}$, for example $z=1$ $A_\mathrm{IA} = 2.13 \pm$ 0.02 cross spectrum fields =2.11 0.03 $B_{\delta\delta \mathrm{E}}$. This demonstrates single physically motivated can jointly three-point statistics alignments, thus enabling cleaner separation alignments weak lensing signals.
